So who did you side with?

Even before the ending came and you knew what was going on in Russia?

I sided with Hunter. The stakes were so high I didn't really believe you could launch nuclear weapons when there is a chance those orders have been rescinded. Still launching because there is a "chance" those orders are still valid is too dangerous and risky.

I did agree with Ramsey that the crew needs to be trained in times of stress and confusion not only when things are calm and the crew is ready for their test. As long as the fire was contained and no threat I thought it was totally understandable to run the test.

Did anyone actually agree with Ramsey that the missiles should have been launched anyway even though an EAM message had come in afterwards that hadn't been checked?

No I was with Hunter too. The very notion that nuclear missiles should be fired when there's a chance there might be an order to stand down is utterly reckless. Ramsey wasn't the only boat in the water. I enjoyed the movie but I continually got the feeling that Ramsey was a deranged warmonger. He didn't really seem to give a toss about the terrorist threat as much as he's been waiting his entire career to push that button.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time Del Boy, it's them that started me drinking!

I thought the same thing, that Ramsey seemed just a little too eager to start a nuclear war. Where is level headed thinking like that of Hunter? When it comes down to it, if the US was attacked with nuclear weapons i would hope that the US retaliates with equal force but without verification beyond a reasonable doubt that the US or its allies were attacked with nuclear weapons then no one should want to push that button. Pushing that button should be the last option on anyone's mind.
