Anyone know if Hackman and Denzel got along?

I was just reading how Hackman was completely insufferable on the set of Royal Tennenbaums where the whole cast and crew were terrified of him....

Just wondering if there are any set stories about he and Washington, as their characters actually have to face off in the film.

I think they both give really great performances and the realism in their conflict is what makes this film so good.

Have never heard any rumours surrounding the film.

Was it a millionaire who said "Imagine no possessions"?

They did get along. Both have always spoken highly of each other.

Denzel loved working with Hackman. He learned a lot about acting. He's said this over and over when asked who he most liked working with.
