3. The pickle race on the window of the restaurant and accompanying conversation about "Meg Ryan or Jack Nicholson."

2. When Karl comes into the tent and does his impression of Eric's "weasel laugh."

1. Billy constantly lifting his shirt while his dad is having an important talk with him, showing his dad that this is "Frank's shirt."

Most underrated comedian on the scene today

reply

HAHA yeah! "What the? Are you some sort of damned moron?" Love that scene lol.

reply

Guanita and Buscemi start making out.

reply

The two track kids after Eric falls over- "Did you see that guys balls, they were weird looking"

Eric at the dinner table - "Did you fall asleep, or did you pass out?"

Billy when he first starts 3rd grade - "First and second grade were easy but social studies division this is gonna be tough"

An underrated scene is where he pulls up to high school in his old trans am wearing an REO speedwagon shirt and rocking out to Billy Squier's "The stroke". The best part is how he tries to get out of the car and act all badass.

reply

That was hilarious! lol

STFU!No really..

reply

T-t-t-today, Junior!

reply

omg, i say that all the time.

reply

me too. when i play horse with my friends and they take forever to take a shot, im like "t-t-t-today junior!"

reply

also, a fav line would be "you got to get off your ass and find that *beep* dog!"

reply

"But Industry, well that was a revolution"

reply

Hey ladie your scaring us!! CLASSIC

" Death is my future and to escape it I must Face it"

reply

That one (69) was hilarious!
My favorite though, had to be "...everyone in this room is now dumber from hearing it. You are awarded no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
I laugh my ass off everytime.

Steve Buscemi's character is perfectly cast and played..

Also, Chris Farley: "NO YELLING ON THE BUS!!!"

I still don't understand the 'Miles Davis' joke.

If you can't take a joke; don't look in the mirror...

reply

Hi! Regarding the Miles Davis joke...Adam said something like only the coolest people pee their pants. Miles Davis is considered (by many I would say) very very cool, so that means she must pee her pants A LOT! haha.

Don't you wish you were me? I know I do!

reply

That's the grossest thing I've ever heard...
lol thanks :)

If you can't take a joke; don't look in the mirror...

The part that cracks me up the most is one of the more random ones: right before Bill and everyone see the elementary principal on television claiming that Billy paid him off, they are watching a television show which ends with a dog barking, "Speak for yourself, moron!" and then cuts immediately to the credits. Billy then laughs hysterically and says, "Oh my God, that is funny!" It's hilarious because it's so stupid and there is no context provided to explain how the dog could talk or why it would say that. It gets me each time.

reply

The best random moments are when he starts to dance to music that seems to come from nowhere and the song HAHA they get me everytime... they just have no point :) and the big black lady.. I love her

It's kind of fun to do the impossible. -Walt Disney

reply

the miles davis joke is most definitely my favourite. As regarding his "Very cool" status, he was very influential in jazz and is credited by many to have started/made popular "cool jazz" (after experimenting with modal jazz), ergo the joke.
Probably the strongest in the film, but not everyone would understand it.

reply

Definitely agree that it's one of the strongest jokes in the film. Davis recorded a seminal album called "Birth of the Cool", which I think is what the joke is specifically referencing ("cool jazz" also makes sense--it's just broader).

reply

Dog on TV: Speak for yourself, moron!
Billy: HAHAHAHAHA OMG THAT IS FUNNY!

I always crack up when I see that part.

reply

These always crack me up:

Old Lady at petting Zoo: What is a horse shoe? What does a horse shoe do? Are there any horse socks? Is anybody listening to me?

Rock Band: Billy Pased The 1st Grade. Oh What a Glorious Daay. Ohh Passing 1st Grade, The Billy Madison Way...

Haha eric's weasle laugh is classic as well as the line "that guys balls are weird looking".

Here are a few other ones:

1. The scene when steve buschemi talks to Billy on the phone and then crosses billys name off the "List of People to Kill".

2. During the Jeopardy-style game there is a bunch of categories referencing the judges cheating wife.

3. High school kid: "I had a bad case of loser denial myself, until the lacrosse team stuck a parking cone up my ass."

4. Fat student: "Gee, I cant wait till I go to high school." Billy grabs his face and shakes it and says: "Stay here. Stay here as long as you can. For the love of God cherish it. You gotta cherish it..."

5. When Bill's chubby friend is spraying some random kid in the face with a hose and the kid is crying and saying "I dont even know you mister".

Haha im sure there are others i just cant think of any right now.

reply

"old man rivers is gonna SH!T we he sees its SH!T on his doorstep. *laughing hysterically* who's got the lighter?"

"in this world gone mad, we wont spank the monkey, the monkey will spank us!!"

reply

he called the SH!T, poop. hahahah

reply

And in response, Billy's friend saying "Oh my god, this is the best night of my life!"

reply

I loved it when Sandler called Steve Buscemi and told him he was sorry then Buscemi turned and crossed Sandler's name off the list of people to kill. What a crack up!

Live for today, tomorrow might never come.

reply

Oh this is an easy one if we're going for underrated lines, not just your favorite. I gotta agree with ctown on this one.

"who would eat 40 bag of lunches?"

then clips to Farly, Norm, and that other fat dude eating lunches and laughing hysterically. What makes it the funniest is that there is no explanation or reason why those guys should even be at the field trip. Classic.

reply

I liked after he was read 'The Puppy Who Lost Its Way' and Billy says something like "Whoa whoa whoa, Miss Lippy. The part of the story I don't like is that the little boy gave up looking for Happy after an hour. He didn't put posters up or anything, he just sat on the porch like a goon and waited. That little boy's gotta think 'You got a pet. You got a responsibility.' If your dog is lost you don't look for an hour then call it quits. You get your ass out there and you find that *beep* dog."

I thought the exchange between the old man & his wife was underrated:

"Don't put it out with your boots Ted!"

"Don't tell me my business DEVIL WOMAN!!!"

I also thought that any scene with the penguin in it was underrated.

reply

HAHAH that devil woman line was truly classic

reply

When he randomly starts dancing to that Boy George (or was it the Culture Club?) song on the stairs. As dumb as this movie is, it still cracks me up all these years later. Sandler's movies of today don't have the same stupid charm and goofy randomness of this one.

reply

That is my favorite scene by far. I love how you can see him start to laugh a bit. He has a secret love of culture club I think

reply

Veronica: Turn to page 69
Billy: 69 heh heh heh heh

Kid: Hey mister guess what i had for breakfast.
Billy: What?
Kid: Beans. [fart noises]
