Bain's Sniper Rifle (Technical Question)

Ok maybe this is just a goof but when Bain is in the hotel waiting for Rath to exit the bank he places a wrist band on his right wrist that holds 5 bullets...

But Bain is a righty shot which means he holds the barrel with his left hand and pulls the trigger with his right...how would placing the bullet-wrist band on his right hand benefit him? Each time he fires he would have to take both hands off the gun to grab a bullet out with his left hand, put the bullet into his right hand then put it into the chamber and load it

For speed the wristband should be on his left wrist, so he continues to hold the barrel, reaches over with his right grabs a bullet and loads it directly into the chamber.

Unless this type of sniper rifle has the chamber opening on the left and the slide also on the left side

Thoughts?

I haven't seen the flick in a while and I'd have to check if its on his right or left wrist...but taking your word for it....

If the shells were on his left wrist, he would have to let go of the rifle with his shooting hand and hold the rifle with his left which would cause him to come off-target until he chambered the new round.
With the shells on his right wrist, he could open the bolt with his left hand, pull a round out of the sleeve and put it in the chamber, move his left hand to the foregrip and close the bolt with his right hand and then return his right hand to the trigger. The point is, his right hand never gets very far from it's natural firing position and the rifle doesn't have to be moved very much....think of how Barry Pepper worked the bolt on his Springfield in Saving Private Ryan.
I would think though that having the sleeve on the rifle stock with the rounds facing in would have been a better choice....

Wasnt Barry Pepper a lefty in Saving Private Ryan?

Yeah he is a lefty in Saving Private Ryan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOpNFK14490

He has to reach over to eject the shells

In Assassins, Bane is righty

Exactly....so Miguel could have done the same thing. But we all know he put that thing on just to look cool.

In reality, if he missed the first shot, would he even had time to reload and fire again....doubtful....
