err.... something about guns?!?!

I always hate in films when you see an attacker aiming at a target and the crosshair is always dead on where he wants to shoot. This was especially true of this film with the sniper rifle. It's ridiculous! Doesn't anyone know about bullet ballisitics?! Take the scene where Bandaras is in the hotel across from the bank and is aiming at Stallone. He aims at his heart, but he was probably about 150 metres away which mean he would have to aim something like 12cm below...

Other than this being a movie, he's the worlds second greatest assassin.

If I remember correctly, Miguel sighted in on an apricot the night before. The difference between the gate, and the hit, wouldn’t make an 1/2in. of travel up or down important. When he chambered the round, it looked to be the standard 308 Winchester 180 grain HP most police/ military snipers use in a Mouser type bull barrel type action. Who ever was the Tech did their homework by using a short heavy barrel system for shooting as accurate as possible either seating or standing.
The cemetery weapon looked to be 9 mm the does perform as depicted in the killing of a wheel chaired man, but no way knocks back the two thugs as if they were hit by a sledge hammer. 115 grain bullet at 1150 feet per second doesn’t create that much energy? As for the handguns, the Ruger Mark I or II used a 40 grain bullet that doen't impact with energies that was again depicted in movie? Just one more for major mistakes using a simi-auto pistol, one does not pull back a Mark I/II hammer as done by Cat Eyes when she's about to shoot Sly while setting down holding the cat? Just another thing, if anyone notice, Sly and Company use the same Bus that was labeled ((NO NRA)) thru out the movie. What’s up with that?
