whose abysmal choice was it to not have it available in 2.35:1?
I refuse to degrade my tv by forcing it to play 4:3 presentations and therefore I refuse to buy this film even though I want to own it.

4:3 is the worst thing in the world... it is damning to the entertainment industry. I get firmly put off from watching a movie if it isn't in at least 2.35:1, better still 2.40:1 or 2.44:1 . 1.85:1 features lack the epic scope of 2.35:1 and it's inexplicable why people don't just use the best ratio, rather than subject the world to a bunch of films that only complete retards and people with no self-respect would ever watch.

I agree, calm down man. I prefer widescreen too, for the most part. I don't like it when they take a film that was shot in 4:3 and then force it to be widescreen by cutting it that way. I'm trying to remember the movie that did this recently....its driving me crazy now.
