funniest small part

I saw a thread like this on the first ace ventura board but i didn't see it on here.. obviously the rhino part is the most talked about scene here I think, but what are some of your favorite little moments?

to start off was the part when they had ace caught in the room and he jumps on the floor and yells "quick, hit the lights" to that other guy who just stands there. the way he was rolling around and yelling then finally just gives up and says "FINNEE!" lol

reply

There are two parts for me, that to this day I use on a weekly basis.

The beginning scene when he is climbing up the wall. "Hungry fella?"

And then after the he gets has butt kicked and is about to be killed by the Wachotoo "I'll have you know I have the reflexes of a cat, and the speed of a mongoose. Throw it, I DARE YOU!" That whole scene ROLF!

reply

The part that always gets me is when the truck is flipping over then lands perfectly in the parking space, "Like a glove!"

My favorite small scene is when they first arrive in Africa and Ace is seen bouncing around in the jeep, like it's on rough terrain, then they zoom out and you see he's just bouncing around like a lunatic lol. I love that part.

Haha that's my favorite part as well.

"Bumblebee tuna."

And omg, it was such a small scene, but I love it so much. It was right after he goes, "Do..I have something in my teeth?" and someone asks him to follow him at the party, you can see him smashing his hands around in everyone's food as he walks by.
I didn't notice that until recently, and I couldn't stop laughing. x'D

The monopoly guy scene is funny, laughed really hárd.
Another funny scene is when they are flying in the plane and Ace imitates a yak, hilarious and yet very annoying.

I think that one of the funniest parts(if no one has mentioned it yet) is when Ace first meets the Wachatee, and he meets the chief, and he spits on him, then his son comes in the tent(or whatever) and says "I like you" and spits on him too. Then Ace says "My aren't I the popular one". Them he says let me show you my affection(or something like that) and they all walk out of the tent and are covered in mucus.

That made me laugh so hard when I first watched it.

reply

"Cappy, from the consulate right? Weeeeird"
and
"Nobody wants to play with meeeee!"

reply

Just can't beat the projector sceen when he's eating that guys crotch, *beep* lol.

I can't really add anything that hasnn't been added already, so pretty much everything that's been said, my second favorite is when he runs out of the caves for sure. WAAAAHH THEY'RE IN MY HAIR THEY'RE IN MY HAIR!

And another little one, just after he gets thrown from that guys car he's like "I can feel it...I can feel it like it's.." *dart stabs him* "IN MY NECK, AHHHHHHHH"

And lastly when he wakes up and the chick gives him water he spits it out and holds up the cup "Guano bowl...Collect the whole set!"

God this movie is classic, has some bad overacting in some parts but it's pretty early Jim Carrey and doesn't take away from the hilarity of some parts. How can someone not like this movie? -.-

reply

nonsense poopy pants!

reply

Already said but the projector scene. He makes those shadows over the guys nipples, "HONK HONK, HONK HONK"! and than the shadow snake bites his crotch and turns to spit it out. Hilarious!

"I'm the king of the world!" No your not, back to the oars boy!

reply

to name a few that havent been said:

the funniest bit in the projector scene is when he first enters and goes: PLEASE, DON'T, GET UP... lol wtf? the guy's just sitting there, then ace sits down and puts his head right in the way lol, but i don't get the thing he does straight after with the spray action with his fingers.

"FUNNY IT DIDN'T SEEM THAT PAINFUL WHEN YOU WERE DOING TO THE HORSE"

"is there something wrong mr ventura?" "of course not, this is a lovely room of death"

just before the "do i have something in my teeth?" he starts throwing berries in his mouth only gets one in lol...

haha "QUITE AN AUDACIOUS DWELLING FOR A FILTHY FLYING WEASEL"

ace ventura funniest comedy character ever

I can't believe no one mentioned the part where he is launching spit balls at the wachati warrior! I love that part.

and "kinda hot in these rhinos" I say that all the time

Jim Carrey is a genious, and Ace Ventura looks timeless to me. Just like Jerry Lewis comedies.

The fact that the "Please, don't get up" guy is played by the actor who played Mr. Eko on LOST makes it even funnier now...

reply

Chitty chitty bang bang!!

reply

not one of my absolute favorites, but still pretty damn funny. no one ever notices it, but whenever I point it out to people they die.

its during the slinky scene, whent he slinky stops at the last step Ace quickly runs down the steps. He only takes like 3 steps, but you actually hear him take much more than he actually does.

i dont know why, but that scene is just hilarious

also, when he first steps on the sacred ground where the bat is held, the chief pulls out his knife and yells, Ace jumps down to the knife and bends backward like he's about to get stabbed, with a hilarious facial expression.

this movie is such a classic. I've seen it a ridiculous amount of times, but I still laugh just as hard as ever.
