I'm thinking of getting it, but I wanna know all the facts before buying my own copy. Is the remastered edition any good?

you probably made up your mind, after all this time, but for me the DVD collection is definitively worth buying

Indeed, the DVD looks and sounds much better than the old VHS versions. It's top-quality. And if you like this collection, you'll LOVE the Slayers Next.

I got one of ebay for 65 $ (all three seasons) from Animetoys.Slayers The Perfect Colletion was the title. Only problem was that some parts of the third disk of the first season were scratched, so I spent 10 hours copying the DVD to hard disk and making a backup so that it plays normally without hangings. Other than that its worth it.
