Episode Help!

I am trying to remember the title of this episode or what show even that this was from.. It was one of these 90s type shows (Outer limits, twilight zone, fact or fiction). This is what I can remember about the episode:

There is a military group on this base (it might have been on a beach), and there is like this little other world these army men can see into. This other world is just like a bubble, that has a house, a tree (maybe a swing), and a nice happy looking family. The military starts shooting ice cubes at it to see if this other world ever opens up. One of the military men falls in love watching this family daily. When the portal/gate opens he jumps in, he runs to this family... and the family ends up eating him/biting him or something weird once he approaches them. Any ideas? I have been wondering what the episode is called for years.
