Caricatures of Oasis or The Beatles? ...from ep. Flat Top Tony and...

On the season 3 episode, Flat Top Tony and the Purple Canoes, appeared the music duo Smoosh (before the Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez caricatures). Were they supposed to be caricatures of Oasis or The Beatles?

I just thought it was The Beatles but recently I played the episode for a friend and she thought it was Oasis. I wouldn't know; I've merely heard of them...never've seen or heard them.

i think actually it was Oasis, they said in audio commentary

I don't think you'd ever catch one of the Beatles disinterestedly muttering "dunno" in answer to an interviewer's question!

It was obviously Oasis. "Dunno" how someone could be that oblivious to popular culture references and still get Mr. Show.

Plus they already spoofed the Beatles with the "Fad 3" sketch. So, yeah, this one was Oasis. :)

I hate IMDB's Signature policy...

Definitely Oasis. The constant fighting is a dead-on for Liam and Noel Gallagher (the brothers who fronted the band). Beyond just that, Oasis was immensely popular when Mr Show was on the air so it makes sense that they'd target 'em.

They were doing Oasis' Ghallager brothers but Bob said said he got the idea for it after watching someone interview Radiohead.
