caroline in the city was cancelled in 1999, thus, the show lasted 4 seasons. and yet, we read that the show was originally supposed to last for 5 seasons. what storylines would you have predicted would feature in the fifth season? if you were the writer on the show, what ideas would you have come up with for the final season, and for the series finale?

for me, potential season 5 ideas could've revolved around richard dealing with fatherhood, del and annie perhaps taking their relationship further, more appearances by reg, julia trying to get stefano back- only to fail, randy trying to get back with caroline but caroline rejects his advances and caroline and richard becoming more closer as a couple and arguing much less than they did in season 4, and thus they get married in the end

Of course, Annie marrying Richard would be completely unexpected and hilarious :-D
