I've just bought the series on youtube. I saw this when it was on tv in the 90s, I remember that I loved it but I don't remember the story at all.

The only two things I do remember are Gary Cole as the sheriff, and my English family trying to figure out if the girl's name was Mary-lee or Marylyn 🤦🏻‍♀️ (unknown accents to me at the time lol).

I watched it back then too. Loved it. The schoolteacher made quite an impression, as I recall. Please let us know whether it still holds up!

I remember watching and loving this show but, if I remember correctly, it just ended very abruptly without closure. Is that what you remember too?
