Explain the end...

let me see if I rememebr the last episode it's been so long ago that I've seen it.You're asking why did the sheriff threw down his own son from the balcony of his house,right?the way I see it,when the doctor,who wanted to get the sheriff out of the way, gave that shot to the sheriff to make it look like he died,so all of his power went to his son,who started to act like him,evil.the ghost Marley,made a deal with the sheriff to help him out of the coffin ,that's when the shot wore off and he woke up,if he stopped his son caleb.he agreed,so she got him out and he headed to his house to stop his son.he tried talking to him but his son wouldn't listen,he was on a high with the power,to me the sheriff really loved his son and would do anything for him.Any how the sheriff was mad because his son wouldn't listen and give back his power,he picked him up and threw him down,he then realized that marley tricked him into killing his son to be free of his evil once and for all.The sheriff screams and then I think that's where it ends.I hope this helps.I did say it was a long time ago,but good news I read that they are going to make american gothic into a movie for 2005 and the sci fi channel wants to revive the series and Gary Cole has been signed to do both.this was one of my most favorite series and was sad when it got cancelled.let's hope it comes out soon.
