First time watcher need help

so, im home due to the snow and i started watching this show, I've watched two episodes so far and I'm confused about what the show is about. I have plenty of questions like who is the reporter to Caleb. What happened to Caleb's mother? Why is everyone afraid of the sheriff? Why is the sheriff made to look guilty all the time when he isn't. Is he harmless? Who is the ghost Caleb sees all the time? is he the only one who sees her? WHY does she haunt him? Does Caleb's family background have any significance?

I wish I knew these were all available on IMDB. Netflix is missing episodes for instant view. Finally got through them all in correct production order which meant sending one disc back to Netflix and having to check it back out again later in some cases.

A lot of that will be revealed as you go on. Keep watching. Make sure you watch in the correct order.

I agree. It would sure take a lot of typing to correctly answer all those questions.
