Has anyone else noticed that in episode 6. "Dead to the World", that Ennio Morricone's "Humanity, Pt.1" music theme from "The Thing" is used?.
This powerful piece can be heard during the sequence when Gail Emory is searching Holly Gallagher's room, about 8 minutes into the episode.
I suppose that this music was cleared for use as both are Universal productions?.
That's cool. I just picked up his Italian Westerns CD at Goodwill.
shareI did. It's not actually the Humanity Part 1 but, appropriately enough, an imitation. Very similar, but not the same, melodies, performed on similar instrumentation, alternating back and forth. It's a near interpolation - I suspect Humanity Part 1 was used as the temp track then Joseph De Luca imitated it.
In the episode RING OF FIRE, the music when Gail has her first flashback is also an interpolation - of John Carpenter's THE FOG.
