I'm so disappointed. 22 episodes later - I'm trying to think what the point was. It was the most boring, slow and extremely silly show. I'm sorry all - I don't why this is considered a cult classic - its dreadful.
Maybe you had to see the show when it first aired? I dunno - its sad to know I wasted 22 hours on this show. I can see why it got cancelled.
The point? The same point of every show: to tell a story.
It's corny, but the writing is GREAT and that's what people respond too. And for the time it was one of the darkest shows on TV. I didn't even watch it until it was very dated, must have been around 2004 or so, but I like it because I like the story and I like to imagine what might have happened next.

Wow really!? The show is a cult classic because it's a masterpiece. Not hard to see for most but I guess everyone is different. From the music, setting, art direction, to the stories, themes & acting. If you can't see that then no one can make you see it but personally everything you just wrote about this show is insane to me. I don't understand how you could not enjoy this. Slow & boring?! More like well paced & suspenseful. Even people who even recently saw this find it great. Oh well. Opinions vary I guess. Even if I totally disagree.
