Enjoyable movie

I saw this movie when it first came out. I am watching the DVD right now, as a matter of fact. This movie is a guilty pleasure (like Highlander 2: Renegade Version, not the original release). Every now and then you get bored and you pop in a sub par movie, and enjoy yourself. For what it is, the movie is good. The problem that people have with STG is you have well established, Oscar and Tony nominated actors (and Ice-T) in a hunting movie, and people expexted award winning performances. This is an action movie, plain and simple! It was not meant to win any awards. Look at it that way, and you will be entertained. I think Rutger Hauer and Charles Dutton are good together. Gary Busey was passionate in this part. F. Murray Abraham could have been a little more convincing. That McNamara kid, I wanted to kill him myself, what a BABY! John McGinley was pretty good (better than Highlander 2). The disappointment for me was Ice-T. I know he can do better. See New Jack City or Trespass and you'll know what I mean. Overall I think this is definitely a guy flick! A good movie to sit back, eat a snack, and get drunk with!
