Surviving the Game vs. Hard Target

Which is better?

I thought Hard Target was a thousand times better. Better action scenes, more exciting pyrotechnics, and overall kickarse action.

Surviving the Game on the other hand was just mediocre. But it boasts a much more impressive cast than Hard Target.

I was doing a double feature on those two movies a little while ago. I like both films, but I would go with Hard Target on this one.

On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

I say Hard Target too.

Surviving the Game, for me. If I ever get to see the full uncut 140 minute version of Hard Target might change my mind ? But S.T.G had a better more flowing story and the set up was more real. Hard Target was a bit much, the standing on a moving motorbike shooting acurately with that mullet. I understand neither film is believable but FFS that took the P !!

Why don't we just wait here for a little while... see what happens...

Hard target all the way !

I agree with charleigh000...Hard Target was total dreck next to Surviving the Game-a much better put together movie overall using the same premise...

I like both, but i choose Surviving the game.

Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

I've always been a bit surprised that Hard Target is one of Van Damme's better regarded films by fans and critics. I think it's actually one of his worst pre-direct-to-DVD era flicks my self, and I was a huge Van Damme fan back in the day. Conversely, I think Surviving The Game is quite underrated. It's no classic, but it's a well made B-movie actioner with a great cast who know what kind of movie they're making and adjust their performances accordingly.

Neither is amazing, but I think Surviving the Game is a better movie.
