Why doesn't this get the respect it deserves?

Hmm ... it made sense to me, he wanted to physically stop Soran from launching the missile, along with help from another person. I do admit there are plenty of times in all the S.T. shows and movies where you have to suspend disbelief. But that's almost part of the fun, for me. It's an imaginative, scientific fantasy.

Every time travel story has a plot hole somewhere. And also as a Starfleet officer Picard would try and contaminate the time line as little as possible. With Kirk with him he believed that much time wouldn't be necessary.

Whoa, for real? Even that silly Next Gen episode where Data is taken over by the god of an old civilization and talks like Pee Wee Herman? Or the original series episode where Kirk wrestles with a man in a lizard suit? ;o)

I'm glad there's more than one of us! I'm re-watching this movie a few times a week at bedtime (I use familiar movies to put me to sleep, like a favorite book), and really love it more all the time. The review IMDb puts on the title page is bugging me more & more ... "horrible-ness," really? A bad writer in addition to having some strange reactions to the film.

I just love the idea of the Nexus. I know we can all relate to a fantasy world where we get everything we would most wish for! And I think what Data goes thru with his emotion chip is often funny; nothing like Jar Jar Banks, for heaven's sake (as that reviewer compares him to).
