How exciting was the crash in theaters?
I'm always on the edge of my seat during the crash scene when I watch it on my TV. How exciting do you think it was to watch in the theater?

I don't have much of a recollection beyond being ridiculously excited because it was the first ever Star Trek film that I had seen in the cinema. I think...it's the only Star Trek film that I've seen in the cinema as well. Couldn't get out for First Contact because I was grounded, missed Insurrection and Nemesis for reasons I can't remember. Didn't see any of the new ones in the cinema either and the TOS films I was too young.
Oh well, back on track. I remember thinking that there's no way that they could destroy the Enterprise and then, yup, they did exactly that. I really dug watching Riker sit in the Captain's chair. And of course Data's line. But Riker sitting in the main seat was probably the most awesome memory for me.

Death is the standard breach for a complex prize.
This was one of the last films I saw in a theater. The crash sequence is one of my all-time favorite movie scenes.
shareI saw it at the theater. I didn’t find the crash to be particularly exciting. The scuttling of the Enterprise in III was much more impactful to me. Personally I would have preferred if they would have kept the D instead of replacing it with the E.
shareI saw this in theaters, it was pretty epic at the time.
