Do you think that Howard Payne did the right thing when he killed Hellen?
I mean his rule was broken. I mean they were lucky that he didn't blow up the entire bus.

It was tactically smart at least.
He let them know he wasn’t bluffing and confirmed that he could tell when anyone was trying to leave the bus
Exactly. Hellen was irresponsible for sure. However, I think that her fear for her life had taken over, and only acted instinctively. She couldn't think/act rationally. She could only act instinctively. So both Hellen and Payne had their reasons. Payne wanted to show that he wasn't bluffing as you said, while Hellen only acted on instinct. So I don't blame any of the two.
