How does Lamont's face change when he becomes the shadow to have an elaborate schnozz like Owen Wilson? Kinda takes you out of the movie's reality.

The fake nose that comes out of nowhere is what takes you out of the movie? Not the fact that he turns into a SHADOW! Him and the villain shoot two bullets at each other at the same time... The cheesy CGI face on the knife... And you pick the nose. lol
All joking aside the nose did bother me too. I mean how and where does it come from?
The nose isn't real. He makes people see a distorted version of his face, including the big nose - which was an homage to the cover drawings from the pulp novels - so that he can hide his identity. It's the same trick as hiding the temple, the hotel or even the Shadow himself from people's minds.
The funny thing is, the big nose actually makes Alec look more like his brother Daniel.
