Why didn't Tom kick Wade's scrawny ass?
Come on, man, don't take that from this punk lowlife.
shareUm...because he had a gun?

Well I'd imagine most people could pull a trigger faster than someone else could grab a gun off them and point it at them.
shareYeah, but Wade didn't pull the gun until after he kicked Tom's ass.
shareExactly- Wade was a better fighter, plus he had the 357 Magnum in his back pocket. He held it close because he knew Tom was too beat up to make a grab for the gun, plus his aim was terrible (which we find out later in the movie).
"Well, that's an unusual name for somebody from- um, where are you from again?" Congo
I don't know that Wade was a better fighter. You saw Wade go flying to the ground after one good punch from Tom. Wade was a little wuss punk.
shareI'd say not 'cause Tom was a better fighter or anything, but because of the overall attitude & personality of Wade may have raised suspicion that he may play dirty, so you-hit-me, I-hit-you would be best so Wade doesn't do something stupid, of which he did anyway... but could have been in the back of Tom's mind. What else would you have wanted him to do? Kill him or keep kicking him while he's down? Unless it's an all-out brawl or street fight, most guys don't.

CAuse wade is hard.

Well Wade was the rough-living, white-trash, HS-droput, spent-time-in-jail tough type, and Tom was the white-collar, gentle father family guy. He was tough when he had to be, but didn't possess the criminal/fighter instinct (prob not a requirement at the office lol) and scramble time. But it all worked out in the end!
