Why didn't the dog sink when he jumped from the 15 foot rock? I also have a big yellow lab and when he jumps in the pool his body sinks like a rock when he jumps from the diving board (3 or so feet).

The average lifespan of a dog that size is 10-12 years so I'd say no, given how long ago this movie was filmed.
shareI always thought it was funny that the dog didn't want to jump. She's pretty much looking at him as if he was stupid for thinking she was going to jump in with him. She anxiously struggles before finally giving in and jumping in.
