Dick Morrow made one serious mad dash to the bathroom while talking with Stemple and his special lady. Looked like he had to drop a sloppy, acidic brown splatter.

As noted by the other reply, Goodwin (Morrow's character) had to throw up because he finally realized how badly Stemple's performance as a witness might blow up in his face, but it wasn't a trial, it was a congressional hearing. No authority to do anything but ask questions and make findings in a report, with the inquisitors performing for the cameras--furrowed brows, "This is highly irregular!", etc.
When Goodwin was prompting and prepping Stemple, Stemple snapped "You're worse than Enright."
It was a nice parallel between the quiz show and the political theatre that congressional hearings are.
It's all show biz.
