Amon Goeth is Van Doren

I can't watch this movie without the feeling that I am watching Amon Goeth, living in the U.S. in the 1950's, as if he was involved in some kind of perverted Operation Paperclip. The accent Fiennes gives to both characters seems to be the same, and to be honest, I'm not exactly sure what Fiennes natural speaking voice it. It just seems so eerie. I guess Fiennes will always be Goeth to me.

“Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?”

LOL -- I'm having this bizarre mental image right now of Goeth testifying at his war crimes trial, "I would give anything to change the last three years of my life ... I let my friends down, and I had millions of them" -- followed by the judges tripping all over themselves to compliment him on his "soul-searching statement."

Hahahahaha... That's a good one, man.

Scary thing is, that's not too far off from what happened in real life with Albert Speer.
