Herbert Stempel Vs. Albert Freedman

The Archive of American Television has extensive and relatively recent interviews with both the real Herbert Stempel and the real Albert Freedman. And Stempel comes across as much more personable and reasonable than the real Freedman. For instance, even after all the decades that had passed, Freedman still bristles every time it comes to mentioning Stempel's name.

If someone is interested in comparing the two, he/she can see these interviews on the Archive's website. I'd be interested in knowing what others think.

It’s been awhile, but I’ve actually seen both of those AAT interviews. My primary impression of Stempel ran somewhere along the lines of, “How could anybody be so stupid? They fed you a line of bull, and you swallowed – hook, line, and sinker!” Freedman’s interview I don’t recall much about, other than I sure as hell wouldn’t buy a used car from the guy. I only wish they could have gotten former NBC president Bob Kintner to talk about the scandal for AAT.

EDIT: I've just watched Part 4 of Freedman's interview again for the first time in about 4 years. I must admit to finding his account quite credible and his personality quite different than my initial recollection stated earlier.
