TV given at Father's birthday
What brand of TV was given as a birthday gift and how much did it cost that year?
sharePretty sure it was an RCA, a 1956 or 57 version, it was black and white so probably $200-$300, maybe a little more, it was a wooden console also, if you watch the movie at about 1 hour 25 minutes you get a good shot of the TV as his parents are watching his final show, I can't make out the model but I know it's RCA and it says super to the right. My 2011 TV isn't clear enough :-). Color TV's of that time were the big tickets and much pricier. Although if you had one of those TV's now, it would purchase you a wonderful entertainment center for sure.
