Why did Mr.Wolf want to drive so fast

This part of the movie made no damn sense. I got the urgency of him driving his Ferrari or whatever that was quickly to the scene because of Bonnie was coming home soon...but what the hell was the purpose of Wolf wanting Vincent to follow him closely because he "drives really *beep* fast?"

It's like...don't worry about getting pulled over for speeding or anything or reckless driving. The only thing I came up with is the junkyard owner was only going to be there a short time. Other then that was the big hurry at that point?

I agree 100%.

Speeding would have been a sure way to draw attention from the authorities. Driving like nothing's wrong is a much better option.

I doubt that Monster Joe had to be anywhere-- Wolf calls him beforehand and explains the situation, so Joe would wait. Apparently it's normal for Joe to "dispose" of problem vehicles this way.

He seems unconcerned about being pulled over by traffic cops who might object to speeding. It seems odd that he has them going to great lengths to camouflage the car so as not to attract "John Q. Laws", but speeding may attract police attention.

I think he drives fast because he wants to get this mess cleaned up as fast as possible.

IIRC it was an Acura/ Honda NSX.

I'm starting to think that whole bit about him driving fast was intentionally written in to be ironic and comical.

Think about it. When Mr. Wolf was in the garage asking questions about the car, like if the brake lights worked and all that, he seemed concerned about minimizing the chances of being pulled over by police. Yet, he has no problem with driving "real *beep* fast", which would almost guarantee getting his ass pulled over.

Another thing that doesn't make sense is why is he driving their car instead of his while he is wearing the formal wear?
Why is he trusting guys he doesn't know with his car?

I've always wondered about that too. He looked so completely different than both Jules and Vincent.. why would Jules sit next to him in the tainted car lookin' like a damn volleyball player?

Maybe both of them should've followed Wolf in his Acura..

driving fast does not necessarily mean speeding. I get the impression what he meant is he would roll through static green lights. Make fast turns and gun the car a lot; drive over the speed limit (not enough to get pulled over), go around slow moving cars; any of these things could make it so Vincent got left behind and lost. Which was not ideal.

The Wolf wanted him to pay attention so he said another thing to get his attention: "if you fuck off and don't keep up and pay attention you will get left behind". That is my take.

Of course that is assuming a lot and contrary to what the Wolf says earlier; he might have just meant he speeds recklessly "its 30 minutes away, i'll be there in 10."
