Did Angela cut off the nun's head or what?

Does anyone know? This is really bothering me. Did the nun duck and cover her head at the last minute or did god re- grow her head after it got cut off. Please, does someone know?

Dunno, probably has something to do with Angela not being able to harm her because her faith is stronger than Angela's....whatever it's called.

I have the original fangoria that praises the film to high heaven, and the director says that the original ending was scrapped and refilmed as the film turned out so well, and the producers gave them extra money for a bigger more "bang" ending, ie the one featuring the giant snake Angela.
So i guess the original ending had the kids survive and kill Angela with holy water and the nun character had indded had her head cut off! Best i can figure it!

Yeah, her head was chopped off. She simply grew another one. Such is the offbeat sense of humor that this movie has. You gotta admit that it was indeed a shockingly funny scene, so purposely over the top.

I did like the nun's character in the movie but think it would have been better if she had died and there was more of a battle between Melissa and Angela which would have been better for Melissa's character as she would have shown more strength and determination. There is definately a lot more humour with this part that the original.

No , she didn't.

I just saw the entire trilogy (I'm ready for the remake now) and out of ALL the over-the-top scenes in part 2, this was the only one that made my eyes roll...I mean come on! her head gets lopped off and she can just re-attach it??!?

Really? She ducked into her habit and then popped back out.. Hence the "Close shave, but no cigar" line...

From what I understand the Nun died in the original ending, however when they were given more money to refilm the ending to make it bigger and more fantastical they had a change of heart regarding her character so instead of her head being chopped off she simply ducked. Or you can look at it as her faith was so strong she was able to regrow her head back.

I took it as she ducked. Especially with the line she uses, it makes more sense.

"I'm not so sure this is, structurally speaking, such a good time for your, uh, buddies to drop in."

I don't know. But I liked it.

I was like "Poor nun. RIP". Good trolls, producers.
