and i haven't seen this movie in forever. what happens in this movie? do her and her cousin( i think its her cousin) end up hooking up?

They won't be related until Vada's uncle and his girlfriend get married. Nick's mom was in a relationship before and that's how Nick was born and when his mom and Vada's uncle get married, he will be Nick's step-dad. So,will Nick and Vada be cousins or step-cousins? I'm not sure, but Rose will be her aunt and Vada will be her neice. Anyway, I think the kiss thing is cool and okay because they aren't related yet and they be in love if they want. As long as they don't become boyfriend and girlfriend when they do become related. :)
If they're step-cousins or something which isn't really and totally related, they could get involved with each other.
shareThere nothing against the law if they "hook up" or even marry. It is only in the same family (sisters and brtohers) that cannot marry each other. Cousins have been married all the time - even though it is not as common today..

Nick and Vada are not related in ANY way.
But about the movie: Vada and Nick don't hook up. The film leaves it all open as Vada goes back to home and leaves Nick behind. I am pretty sure though that they "will" see each other more in the future as theyr familys are related. Is there a book written about the future? I don't know if there is. But no film hasn't been made so I guess we can never know =)
Technically, You can marry your cousin, it just has to be your fourth or farther. Any closer than that and its, in technicality, illegal.

You can marry your step-sister - there is nothing anyone can say about it.
And yes..
You can date with your future step-cousin - there is no law that is against it. Not even in the 70's.
