It could be about when Vada just have moved away from home. She has no friends. We will follow her dreams, and there's flashbacks of Thomas J.
Austin O'Brien could have a cameo as Nick. But they don't feel anything for each other any more. Vada should met a new boy, a nice guy named Gabe who will be her biggest love in life. One idea I really burn for, is the one to have Elijah in a type of My Girl 3. Anna Chlumsky does want co-operate with Wood in a film. So finally, her dreams can come true. And Elijah can play Gabe.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd in supporting roles, please!

I don't really like the name Gabe either, but I do like your idea! The only thing is all the people who were in 1 and 2 are much older now and I don't think 2 sold enough money in the theaters to make a 3. Plus, I don't think Anna Chlumsky, Macaulay Culkin, Austin O'Brien, Jamie Lee Curtis, or Dan Akroyed will agree to be in a 3.

Howevever, what are you talking about, nadbgal? Macaulay Culkin couldn't be in another My Girl movie.

Laura Palmer is dead in the first scene of the first episode of 'Twin Peaks.' But that didn't stop Lynch from casting Sheryl Lee as Laura's lookalike cousin, Maddy.

In "My Girl 3," Macualay could play a neighbor of Vada's who looks just like Thomas J.

^ I don't really like that idea. Even though I would love Macaulaay to come back, it would be too far-stretched to make it believable.

I say, do a 3rd!!!!!!!! And I really like Elijah Wood too! I always wished that Jonathan Taylor Thomas had a part in one of the other movies for some reason.lol. Maybe he could pop up (seeing as though he hasn't really been up to much atm).

Maybe Vada either finishing high school & graduation (Anna's in her late 20's, but she still looks young enough to play a teen if she wanted) or starting college - wanting to be a writer once more and starts college away from home (but still in contact with family). I guess they could have flashbacks of Thomas J and her thinking what it would be like if he was there with her.

They could conclude the 3 movies by Vada publishing a book about her youth - growing up with such a good friend, going on adventures, meeting new people etc. At least then she fulfilled her writing dreams.

What do we think? Probably a bit silly huh?

I doubt it; it's been too long - plus, even this sequel didn't show us much more about Vada's character.

That sounds like a lovely idea for a movie, or even a fanfic. And i like the fact that she and Nick wont be together, I never did like them as a couple :)
