Goofs: Busted

Here's a "Goof" listed in the (obviously) "Goofs" section of the IMDB:
"Continuity: When leaving for California, Vada is seen walking toward an airplane with a blue stripe, but when the airplane is in the air, it has a red stripe."

In the movie, Vada tells her father that she has to switch planes. So she gets in the "blue" plane and then the plane in the air is the second plane, which is the one that takes her to L.A.

I justed wanted to point that out. :)

Thank you, Mr. Weaver. :) I thought she flew directly from PA to CA. I never would have noticed. Thanks for pointing that out.

I knew that since watching the movie.

The "goof" is due to the 727 on the ground being painted in a fictional airline livery and the airborne footage being of the 727-200 prototype, most likely from a manufacturer's promotional film. If you look closely, you can see "727" on the vertical stabilizer and "Boeing 727" on the fuselage above the stripe. The red stripe and "vee" on the tail were standard Boeing prototype markings of the period. I grew up during this era and read a lot about airplanes and airliners.
