...are the kids dressed in 90's clothing on the movie poster? I thought this was a period film from the 70's?

Actually, they're not. You had hats and t-shirts like that back in the '70's. I was in high school in the year that the movie was set (1974) and you could get clothes that looked like that at our local mall and other clothing stores.

You must've missed that part of the 90's where 70's clothes made a comeback...

The poster does look very 90s.......but it's not like it's completely out-of-style for the 70s either....
