No way can putting on a mask give you all those magical powers

A plot hole so obvious that I'm surprised no one has posted about it yet.

AH but if you watched the movie carefully you would've noticed they explained your so-called plot hole.

I believe it's in the scene where he puts on the mask and it gave him magical powers.

magical powers come from the god inhabitanting the mask, happens all the time in real life, you put on a jesus mask and you raise from the dead
