I watched this movie for the first time over the weekend. I wasn't expecting much but wow, it really surprised me!

Damon Wayans was absolutely hysterical with his portrayal of a drill instructor -- The strange voice, mannerisms, expressions, everything! He had it down so well, it's almost surprising he was never in the military.

The movie just really surprised me. It was raunchier and significantly less sappy than I expected; a cross between the original Bad News Bears and Full Metal Jacket.

I had already seen it both when it came out and again on VHS and DVD. I recently decided to watch it again while flipping through some of my DVD's and I'll say. It was even funnier and more well made than I remember. I recall having enjoyed it back then. But I really was just in awe of just how good it really is. The 5 star rating it has here on IMDb is criminal at best. This movie really is a classic.

Almost a year later and its up to a 6.0 thankfully, but its still lower than it should be...
