Stansfield Recognizes Lèon?

Lèon: The Professional is one of my favorite films. I love it so much that I can usually ignore most of the insignificant plot holes mentioned on this board. However, there has always been one plot hole that detracts from the film IMO. How does Stansfield recognize Lèon when he is disguised as a cop? He has never seen him before. He knows he's italian, but that's it. Am I missing something? I would love to hear other people's opinion on this.

Stansfield sees Leon when we first see him threatening Mathilda's Father. Leon had just passed by Mathilda's apartment door and is standing looking down the hall from his open door when Stansfield, Malky, and Mathilda's Father enter the hall. The camera shows Stansfield facing Leon's door (his back to Malky and the Father) and then Leon closing the door. Besson makes a point, when Stansfield turns around to mess with her Father, to show him looking at Mathilda. Also The DEA building probably had cameras and he had a description of Leon from the Chinese place where Malky was killed.
