When I first saw this movie, I thought it was kinda mediocre. I gave it a 6. Then I started to like it and gave it a 8. Now I love it and changed it to 10. Just one of the most exciting, original, beautiful, enjoyable movies I've ever seen.

I guess I thought it was too short. And the action scenes were kinda small compared to other action scenes like The Matrix or John Woo movies. However after seeing the extended version with Matilda's first hit, and Leon's backstory made it feel more complete. And the action has grown on me. I actually like how Leon doesn't just run and gun, he hides and uses stealth to take out his targets.

rtodd did you notice that the BluRay version has an enhanced sound track, especially in the very low bass? You need a good powered subwoofer in your sound system to fully realize it.

I had the same problems with it the first time around. Some multiple viewings later, and it's simply awesome.

With each viewing, new questions always come to mind, and searching for the answers, is not always an easy task. This film has so much to offer, to anyone that is willing to look a little harder. Studying this film over the years, has taught me that things are not always as they first appear, and looking deeper into the story, can often reveal something new.
