Leon stitching himself up.

About midway through the movie Leon takes a shower and he has a bleeding wound on his chest (knife or bullet?) and he stitches himself up. Where did the wound come from?

IIEC, he goes out on a job, comes back with the wound and Tony (?) talks about it going wrong

what I don't understand is why'd go shopping to buy a dress instead of stiching himself up first

reply

Priorities first. Leon had his reasons, and I assume they weren't complicated ones.

Leon walked out on Mathilda when she began expressing her love for him, possibly because he was experiencing the same feeling. I believe Leon had Mathilda on his mind rather than his work, and this may have also resulted in his injury. Apologizing by getting her a gift was more important

Is it possible he got the dress before the job? I don't recall the specifics of this part, just wondering. Or did his guy pick it up for him? He does hold Leons money.

reply

I believe he went to his job first. At that time I think his work still takes precedence over everything else, later we see that Mathilda becomes the most important thing in his life.
