Does anyone find it peculiar?

You know, it's funny that even though this is the Disney animated movie that has done the best in the theater in the United States, this movie does not have as big of a part in the Hollywood Studios attraction "Fantasmic" compared to "Pocahontas", which was a huge theatrical flop! I personally believe that this is WAY better than "Pocahontas". Has anyone else noticed this weird observation?

The Lion King already has enough exposure at the Disney theme parks over the years with Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable, the now-defunct Lion King Celebration and Festival of the Lion King, some attractions at the Animal Kingdom, and meet-and-greet characters. I'll be surprised if Pocahontas had any exposure at all considering its popularity is nowhere close to that of TLK so this doesn't bother me. By the way, Pocahontas did not flop at the box office. It grossed $346 million on a $85 production and marketing budget.

Since about half of the money it makes is retained at the theaters, divide 346 by 2, which gives 173 and subtract 85 from that and that gives you 88 (therefore a possible $88 million in profit). Gross profit points were not assigned to any of the cast and crew.* Then, there's also additional money coming in from net profit sales from the merchandise, soundtrack, and home video. There's no way Pocahontas didn't return a profit.

I just read your article source, and now I can understand why although everyone loved The Lion King, and some people didn't like Pocahontas, they've done pretty good at the box office in America, and it makes perfect sense as to why the more popular film had a small part in Fantasmic.

And, elsewhere, one of the most successful musicals in history.

That is a strange twist. Although, as much as I like The Lion King, I'm one of the few who likes Pocahontas better. I know I'm the minority, but that's just me.
