So...although it doesn't matter, I am curious about the ages of Samuel & Susannah. I know he's in college when he meets her, but I always wonder how old he is? He looks about 18, yet Susannah seems so much older & more mature than him. We know he is inexperienced, because he tells Tristan so, when Tristan asks.
shareI thought she was about Sam's age just more worldly. Isabel mentioned in her letters that Susannsah's parents were dead so maybe she had to mature more quickly. She certainly seemed to need to latch on, poor Ludlow brothers.
shareShe may have been a class or two ahead of Samuel at college, but I'd say no more than that. She was more mature, worldly, and sophicasted so she came off as quite a bit older.
