I read in the Trivia Christopher Lambert was meant to be in this but was recast, Does anyone know why he left?

funny because the period setting reminded me of scenes from the highlander films. maybe they thought people would think he was crossing over his connor mcleod character

It's funny because the actress that plays the governess(?) in this one also played Kate in Highlander.
