The Love Scene... What do you think about it???

After buying this movie months ago I finally decided to see it and thought it was wonderful. Helena Bonham Carter was magnificent once more and the movie had such powerful scenes like the hanging of the blonde.

About the love scene I really think it is one of the most beautiful love scenes ever filmed. Patrick Doyle's track "The Wedding Night" was just divine and I think it is probably one of the best love scenes ever filmed since it is very tasteful and it captures the meaning of true love and passion. Kind of like the scene in Ghost. I have never seen this kind of scene in a movie which evokes such emotions and am wondering what you though about it.

The reason I am asking this was because on opposite to how much it impressed me my mother thought it was downright lame and unrealistic.

Well one would expect Elizabeth to be a bit more eh reserved.

Since she was supposed to be a virgin.

But the scene was quite erotic and passionate, after all Brannaugh and HBC were much more than colleagues at that point. His marriage to Emma Thompson ended not long after this film was in the can.

And I agree, Doyle's "Wedding Night" is simply beautiful.

I enjoyed the movie for the most part but the love scene made me dizzy once the camera started spinning.

Without a doubt, this is my favorite scene from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
