since the 2000 "the flintstones in viva rock vegas" story is wilma and fred first meeting each other (prequel), this is more like a follow up (sequel) to that, since the story kind of started in the 2000 movie, i don't recall ever hearing the trademark fred flintstones line "wilma, i'm home", the 2000 movie feels more cartoonish than this, both movies have a very slick guy as the villain, and the voice of the parrot 🦜 in this plays wilma's daddy in "viva rock vegas", great cameos like jonathan winters and jay leno, just as the 2000 movie they use a cartoon of the "real" animated fred (the newspaper... newstone), i sort of like the story in the other movie better, because this involves a feud between the flintstones and the rubbles, i don't tune in to the flintstones to see drama. i forgot what a riot john goodman is in this, "the kid had a tail... what was i suppose to do, pretend i didn't notice?", and when wilma has a fit throwing and breaking things around the cave "oh you're gonna regret this, wilma, it's gonna take you hours to clean up this mess", reminds me of grandpa of a different generation "don't you have a woman to clean this up?". after just seeing the 2000 movie, i thought i'd like this better, but i actually might have enjoyed the 2000 movie more, according to me john goodman pretty much carries this, don't get me wrong, i enjoy both movies a lot and would love to see a 3rd. watching fred and barney having a barbecue i thought i'd tell you something you might not know, in my country there is a dish named "flintstone steak", no kidding, inspired by this franchise.

well, i tell you, strange to hear apartments being discussed in a stoneage story. pebbles serving with rollerscates on reminded of kelly bundy's gig in "married with children". notice about 18 minutes in, from the angle it looks like wilma doesn't have a face, it's clear they use the same voice actors for different persons and animals, talking about the swedish version here, also notice fred looks exactly the same in the flashback of his and wilma's wedding, the wedding in rock vegas was the coolest wedding i've seen though wilma was crying, also fred putting on a moustache and his own family doesn't recognise him was funny. many of the use of the dinosours in the play ground seemed completely useless and could be replaced with a rock or a tree. even though the story is about pebbles and bamm bamm it isn't one of those terrible junior stories and it includes plenty of fred and barney.
