Let's say had Dumb and Dumber been made in the 1970s or '80s. I say this because I recently heard the comment that Stir Crazy was kind of the closest thing to that era's Dumb and Dumber.

I enjoy watching Pryor and Wilder movies, but I can't imagine this.
shareYeah, if it came out in the 1970s it'd be a very different film no matter who was starring in it. In fact given the original's plot about kidnapping and two assassins trying to kill the protagonists, a 70s version would probably feel more akin to Silver Streak with cars and trucks instead of a train.
shareSo just wondering, which one would you have be Harry? And which one would be Lloyd? I feel like Gene Wilder would be better in the Harry role. Though I also have a hard time imagining Pryor as Lloyd.
