Seems like a rehearsal for first 30 minutes
Acting and scripting is pretty ameature until they hit the road.
Anyone else feel like they didn't know their pacing?

I don't really feel like that. There were some funny bits pre-road trip.
The scene with Lloyd driving Mary to the airport was funny.
And the whole dialogue in their appartment was funny. "Our pets heads are falling off.....", "I dunno, Lloyd. The French are a$$holes.", "The chicks'll love it. It's a shagging wagon.", "Well, he was pretty old." all seemed like funny jokes in a relatively short scene.
Even Lloyd trying to impress the Austrian woman and mixing it up with Australia was well performed, even if it was a somewhat obvious joke.
I agree with Hurricane. Plus falling onto the pavement of the runway is hardly a rehearsed thing.
shareEvery single solitary minute of this movie is professional and perfect. The peak started at the opening credits and ended when they were left by the Hawaiian Tropic girls.
shareI figured it out, extended cut. It's scenes that didn't seem to fit the original cut and I can see why.
shareActually, to be fair, there were some scenes in the extended cut that were a bit weak, and you could see why they were deleted. The version I saw at the cinema and had on VHS were decent. But even on TV, they seem to have some of the scenes that were deleted originally in now, and most of them aren't very good.
I can't, off the top of my head, remember if any of the added scenes were pre-road trip, but they might've been. It's been a while since I've seen it. Weirdly, some of the jokes that were added felt a bit homophobic. Usually stuff like that they take out these days, rather than add them after years of us being used to them not being there.
Yeah in the hotel he says he'd do Harry and he'd probably like it. Weird jokes.
shareYeah, that was one that didn't make the cinema cut and wasn't included on the VHS, but seems commonly added now. I'm not someone who gets offended by every little joke, but that wasn't particularly funny and you could see why they got rid of it originally. Also, the scene with Seabass and Lloyd in the public toilets went on a bit longer, and Harry was asking him to explain himself in the van later. Again, wasn't really a funny scene either.
It seems odd that these ones were thought so highly of, they were added at a later date.
