In the sequence where Charlie is skating around Minnesota picking up the Ducks to form team USA, watch the scene with Jesse playing street hockey closely. If you look in the background you can see Terry (his brother) accidentally skate over an uncovered sewer and fall to his death.

Trivia- The director chose to end the movie with a fadeout of a flock of geese rather than ducks in remembrance of the character Terry. This was an inside joke between the director and the actor who portrayed Terry as they, along with ER's Anthony Edwards, are part goose in ethnicity.

the reason why jessie's brother wasn't in the movie is b/c at the time, the actor that played him, Jussie Smollett, was filming a tv show with his 5 brother's and sister's called "On our own".
