For as much crap as Bombay put the team through, they were forgiving

In the first movie, Bombay pretty much hated the kids and taught them how to cheat. It was Hans who helped Bombay get his priorites straight before he started treating the team better and they forgave him.
Then in this movie, he again lost sight of what's important and pretty much ran the kids ragged, causing them to fall asleep in class and put a lot of pressure on them to win. But yet again, they forgave them. They were a very dedicated team who got through hard times very well. Bombay was lucky to have them and their forgiving dedication.

Bombay grew up with a bad coach in riley who brainwashed bombay into thinking winning is everything but then he learned through hanz and the kids that winning is not everything. In this movie he kinda lost his way and let the fame go to his head a little but it happens all the time to big stars and bombay was one of the few that found his way again once again through the kids.
