Why do the two guys speak Spanish and then all of a sudden speak English? That was just plain bizarre and it ruined the whole movie for me.

It should be against the law to use "LOL" unless you really did LOL!

It follows on from The hunt for red October, when connery is taking to the political officer, it closes in on his mouth and the language switches

They could have done it the same way it was done in To Be or Not to Be.

The main actors were singing Sweet Georgia Brown in Polish, then an announcer came on and said that for reasons of clarity, and sanity, the rest of the movie would be in English.
