haha, I thought both halves were about the same cop. I am so white.

I cant tell those asian dudes apart. I had to come here because I was confused about the story thinking the same cop was trying to date two girls. Pretty good movie after I figured out what it was about.

I think it was the fact that both of them were ordering chef salads that screwed me up.

Just cause they're both hella sexy doesn't mean they look anything alike.

Don't worry that's not as bad as my friend thinking Bridgitte Lin's character from the first story was Faye Wong's character. What an idiot, almost regret showing the movie to her.

More than their faces being clearly different, their personalities were night and day.

I can't imagine mixing them up honestly.

If two actors are unknown to you it can be difficult to tell them apart, regardless of race.

reply

I don't know, I'm white and I had no trouble telling them apart.

Both actors are distinctive looking and tony leung has his hair slicked back if I recall. The first guy is always in plainclothes anyway.

Just another example of how poor the screenplay and direction was in this film.

It sucked.

Jup, same happened to me. I even thought the blonde girl was the same as Faye (only without the wig) thanks to her glasses

This happened to me with Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon the first time I watched The Departed.

Is this some joke?
I think you need to blame your EYES instead of your skin.
They don't look anything like each other.
